The Cabinet of Ministers, following a proposal from the Ministry of Energy, extended the special obligations on the electricity market until April 30 2027. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Serhiy Koritsky. This mechanism allows to maintain current prices for household consumers.

The basic rate for households will remain at 4,32 UAH per kilowatt-hour. The discounted rate of 2,64 UAH per kilowatt-hour will be maintained for households with electric heating and other consumer categories that are eligible for this discount.

According to Koretsky, the decision to maintain tariffs was made with consideration for the current socio-economic situation in Ukraine. It continues the approach previously applied to natural gas tariffs for households. The government plans to further improve the tariff system and introduce more targeted support for citizens who need it most.

Meanwhile, emergency power outages continue to be implemented in Ukraine.
