Ministry of Energy: Photos and videos from the sites of attacks on energy facilities could help the enemy.

The Ministry of Energy has warned that publishing photos and videos from the sites of attacks on energy infrastructure could help the enemy to adjust future attacks. Such images also pose risks for repair crews who are restoring damaged infrastructure. The ministry advises obtaining information about the consequences of the attacks and the state of the energy system only from official sources.

Russia has significantly intensified its attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure in recent weeks. According to the Ministry of Energy, the targets include power lines and transformers, the damage to which disrupts electricity supply to consumers. Energy workers are working around the clock to repair damaged equipment and stabilize the energy system.

At the same time, the ministry has also paid attention to the problem of publishing photos and videos from the sites of strikes. Even a short video or a single photo can contain important details for the enemy: exactly where the strike occurred, what damage was caused to the object, and how the repair work is progressing. This information could be used to adjust future attacks.

Separately, there was a warning about the danger of publishing images of damaged objects and the movement of repair crews: this creates significant risks for workers who are restoring infrastructure, and it could complicate their work. The Ministry of Energy urged people not to take or share images of impact sites, damaged energy facilities, the movement of repair crews, and the progress of restoration work. Operational information about the consequences of the attacks and the state of the energy system should only be obtained from official sources.
