The Ministry of Energy has warned of potential emergency power outages in certain regions if the energy situation worsens. Currently, some regions are operating hourly consumption limits of 0,5 to 1,5 units, and due to shelling, some consumers in Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Poltava, and Chernihiv regions are temporarily without power.

The Ministry of Energy has warned that emergency power outages may be implemented in certain regions of Ukraine if the situation in the energy system worsens. Currently, some areas are experiencing hourly power outages ranging from 0,5 to 1,5 hours, while industrial and business users are subject to power restrictions.

"Ukrenergo" explained that these restrictions are necessary due to damage to the energy infrastructure as a result of Russian attacks and to prevent overloading of equipment. As of 09:30, electricity consumption was 4,3% lower than the previous day; this was due to clear weather, the operation of household solar power plants, and forced shutdowns.

Due to ongoing combat and Russian shelling, some consumers in the Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Poltava, and Chernihiv regions are currently without electricity. There are no reports of power outages in the Lviv region.

On the night of October 7, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine: according to the Ukrainian Air Force, Ukrainian air defense destroyed or suppressed 161 aerial targets.
