The Ministry of Education is introducing the position of career advisors in schools for grades 7–12
The Ministry of Education and Science is introducing career advisors in schools with classes from 7 to 12. Specifically, there will be at least one career advisor for students in classes 7 to 9, and another for classes 10 to 12. The number of advisors will depend on the number of students and the workload. The Ministry will separately announce information about the training for advisors, the timeline, and the registration process.
In schools with classes from 7 to 12, the positions of career advisors will be created – this was determined by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in a letter. These specialists will help students choose their future profession, determine their further education, and plan their educational path.
According to the document, at least one teaching staff member should provide consultations for classes 7–9, and at least one more for classes 10–12. In schools where both levels are represented, there will be at least two consultants. The exact number will depend on the number of students, the school's structure, and the teaching load; there is also the possibility of involving additional staff and forming a reserve staff.
For career advisors who will work with students in primary and secondary schools, the Ministry of Education will organize special training. Details regarding the deadlines, registration process, trainers, and training institutions will be provided separately.
