Starlink and Starshield have resumed full operation.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the restoration of full functionality of Starlink and Starshield systems. According to him, this is important for logistical support and defense against enemy drones. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense confirmed stable communication even during movement at speeds exceeding 400 km/h.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Starlink and Starshield systems have been restored to their pre-restriction speeds. According to him, the restoration occurred overnight, and by morning, the connection speed was sufficient for using these systems.
Defense Minister of Ukraine, Yevheniy Khmara, reported to Zelenskyy about the results of inspections that confirmed that Starlink and Starshield are functioning normally. The President thanked American partners, including members of Congress, senators, representatives of the U.S. Department of State, the media, and the President of the United States, for their attention to the situation and assistance to Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense also confirmed the restoration of Starlink and Starshield's operational speed. According to the MoD, monitoring systems are detecting stable communication even during movement at speeds exceeding 400 km/h. Previously, monitoring had revealed limitations in the performance of these systems, but current indicators show that the speed has been restored.
We recall that after the escalation of relations between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States, the military satellite communication system Starshield, without prior notification to the Ukrainian side, introduced speed restrictions for Starlink terminals in motion. This made it impossible to use intercept drones against enemy "Shaheds" and attack drones. The Trump administration blamed Elon Musk for the Starlink restrictions, who in turn stated that he does not control the Starshield system, and that the Pentagon controls it.
