Payments for parents are being tested in the "Diia" app: assistance during pregnancy and childcare.

The Ministry of Social Policy and the Ministry of Digital Transformation have launched beta testing of two new services in the "Diya" app — assistance related to pregnancy and childbirth, and payments for childcare up to one year. Approximately 400 women have joined the pilot project, having pre-registered for participation.

Before the beta testing phase, the ministry had completed the alpha testing phase, during which technical teams reviewed the entire process of receiving assistance, from filling out the application to making a decision.

The plan is to avoid requiring users to gather a large number of documents themselves: "Diya" and the Unified Information System for Social Services will automatically obtain the necessary information, and required checks will be conducted through state registers. After the check, the system will automatically generate a draft decision regarding the provision or denial of assistance.

Next, the application and the formed decision will be reviewed by an employee of the State Pension Fund of Ukraine, who will need to approve it. According to the decision, the State Pension Fund must consider the application within three working days. This procedure is intended to simplify the process of receiving assistance and reduce the time from submitting the application to receiving the payment and the funds.

Currently, only participants in the pilot program can use the new services. After the completion of the verification process and upon successful results, they plan to open the services to all users of the "Diia" app. Soon, beta testing of another service for working parents, "єЯсла," is expected to begin.
