"Ukrenergo" announced in the evening of October 8, that starting October 9, power consumption restrictions will be implemented in certain regions of Ukraine. For all consumer categories, hourly power outages will be in effect, ranging from 0,5 to 2 queues. Power consumption restrictions will also be applied to industrial and business sectors.
The restrictions are attributed to the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities. "Ukrenergo" noted that the situation in the energy system may change depending on the results of new attacks, so consumers are advised to monitor the messages of their distribution system operator – the regional energy company. They also urged to use electricity sparingly during the hours when it is available according to the schedule.
The hourly schedules for power outages are determined by the distribution system operators in each region. The exact time of the outage depends on the queue and the situation in the energy system; if the situation changes, the schedules may be adjusted.
