Government adopts a decision to simplify confirmation of insurance experience without an employment record

The government has adopted a decision that aims to simplify the confirmation of insurance experience for people without an employment record or with incomplete records. This was announced by Prime Minister Serhiy Koritsky. According to the new rules, insurance experience can be confirmed, for example, through the testimony of at least two witnesses who worked with the person, so that victims of the war do not lose their right to a pension due to a lack of documents.

Prime Minister Serhiy Koritsky announced that the government has adopted a decision that aims to facilitate the confirmation of insurance experience for citizens who do not have an employment record or have incomplete records.

This is primarily aimed at people whose documents have been lost due to fighting, occupation, or destruction of enterprises.

According to the Prime Minister, the main source for confirming insurance experience will be data from state electronic registers. If this information is not available, the employment record and other documents will be considered; the government has expanded the list of such documents.

In the absence of retained documents or the inability to obtain them, work experience can be verified through the testimony of at least two witnesses who worked alongside the applicant. The pension fund will assist in finding such colleagues.

For individuals who were previously employed at enterprises in temporarily occupied areas or in the combat zone, as well as for those whose documents were destroyed by the war, a separate procedure will apply for crediting work experience.

The intention is to allow those affected by the war to verify their periods of employment and avoid losing their right to a pension due to a lack of documents.
