Zelenskyy authorized strikes against Russian oil refineries due to massive attacks.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian military forces have been given permission to strike oil refineries in Russian territory again. This decision was made following a large-scale attack by Russia on civilian targets and critical infrastructure in Ukraine, including in Lutsk, where six people were killed and another 12 were injured.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian military forces have been given permission to strike oil refineries (NRZ) within Russian territory again. According to the head of state, this decision was made following another large-scale attack by Russia on civilian targets and critical infrastructure in Ukraine.

Specifically, during the attack on October 13, 26 elements of the energy complex and 4 objects of the oil and gas infrastructure were damaged. In Lutsk, six people died and another 12 were injured as a result of the attack.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian oil refineries are a response to a long-standing campaign of attacks by the Kremlin on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. At the same time, he noted that Ukraine is ready to cease attacks on Russian oil refineries if Russia stops shelling Ukrainian facilities.

The President also added that he had not received any official statements from US President Donald Trump regarding the "energy truce" initiative, but he expects clarification and a clear position from Washington.
