Cabinet of Ministers adopts resolution on parking spaces for drivers with children under three years old

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution regarding parking for drivers transporting children under three years old. Parking areas must reserve at least 5% of the spaces – at least one – no more than 50 meters from the entrance, marking them with markings and signs indicating a stroller.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution that defines the parking rules for drivers transporting children under three years old. This was reported on October 9 by the press service of the National Police.

Parking areas for such vehicles will reserve at least 5% of the total number of spaces, but at least one space. The distance from this space to the entrance of the parking area should not exceed 50 meters.

These locations will be marked with special signage and signs depicting a baby stroller. Separate identification signs are also being introduced for cars. According to Ivan Vygovsky, drivers who mark their cars with this sign must have an electronic or paper document that confirms the child's age.

The decision was made in accordance with a law that came into effect on March 5 2026 and requires parking lot owners to allocate and equip spaces for cars carrying children under three years of age.
