Acting Prosecutor General Anton Kovalський announced on Facebook that, since his appointment, a forensic examination has been conducted on 24 prosecutors, and the obtained data has been submitted to the commission conducting an internal investigation. In total, he stated, dozens of people have been dismissed from the prosecutor's office, including eight individuals mentioned in the context of the NABU and САП "Carphage" operation; seven of them worked in the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Among them are the head of the Department of Information Technologies and the head of the Department of Combating Criminal Offenses in the field of cybersecurity, as well as the deputy head of the Cherkasy Oblast Prosecutor's Office; the positions themselves have been eliminated.
The Prosecutor General's Office is undergoing restructuring: the department for countering criminal offenses in the field of cybersecurity has been dissolved, while the Department for Supervision of Compliance with Laws by Bodies Combating Organized Crime and for Protection of Investments has been reorganized, with a focus on investment protection established as a separate unit. The leaders of these departments have been dismissed, while new heads have been appointed for the Department of International Cooperation and the Department of Organizational and Control Activities, Legal and Analytical Support.
As part of a personnel audit of appointments to administrative positions within the Prosecutor General's Office, the head of a department and the head of a department within one of the departments were dismissed. In the regional and district prosecutor's offices, 16 prosecutors were dismissed, including the heads of the Vyshhorod District Prosecutor's Office in the Kyiv region and the Vozhnitsa District Prosecutor's Office in the Chernivtsi region; orders were issued to dismiss the deputies of the heads of the Khmelnytsky and Volyn regional prosecutor's offices. Following meetings, Koval also decided to dismiss the heads of the Kharkiv and Volyn regional prosecutor's offices from their administrative positions.
The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) decided not to use the right to appoint individuals to positions without a competitive process, provided that they were not prosecutors at the time of appointment, as this right is provided for in the transitional provisions of Law No. 4555. Instead, they plan to evaluate the practice of applying this norm and appointments made on its basis.
Kovalський called this only the first stage: further steps include continuing personnel audits, evaluating the performance of managers, changes in management processes, and strengthening internal security. According to him, restoring public trust in the prosecutor's office depends on these decisions and the specific results achieved.
